January 2014 marked the launch of XtemeDoor, the new high performance composite door from leading Merseyside based door manufacture Vista. XtremeDoor brings together leading door components and is arguably the highest specification product of its kind on the market today.
To illustrate just how extreme this new composite door really is, Vista challenged business development manager Ian Smith to have his picture taken in an extreme location with a branded banner. Ian took the banner deep into the jungle and was photographed on a mountainside, next to a waterfall and even with an elephant and his slightly bemused owner!
The impressive durability of the XtremeDoor composite door
Ian may have been having a bit of fun but there is a serious point to his antics – XtremeDoor can withstand conditions and climates that would destroy other doors. Ian comments: “Whether placed in the heat and humidity of the jungle or the cold of the arctic, XtremeDoor has the credentials to survive. For instance it incorporates a triple sealed uPVC outerframe, offering extreme protection from the elements, and can achieve a U-value of 0.8 W/m²K in some styles thanks to its uPVC edgeband. It’s also incredibly secure thanks to the 5 point lock that includes two hooks and three deadbolts.”
Ian and other members of the Vista team plan to take the XtremeDoor banner into other extreme locations – so make sure you keep an eye out in the press to see where the brand will end up next. Vista is also keen for customers, suppliers, industry contacts and others to get involved and to create their own XtremeDoor images. Ian explains: “If you would like to pose in an extreme location please contact Vista and we will provide you with an XtremeDoor banner. Then when you send your pictures through Vista we’ll use them in our future marketing material. What’s more, the best picture will win a free XtremeDoor!”
